Download PassStash

Every client encrypts on-device before anything reaches sync. Here's what's actually available today, and what's still in progress.

Coming soon

Windows desktop

The MAUI client's sign-in, vault list, and item screens build and run internally on Windows today — no packaged installer yet, so it's dev-machine only for now.

Coming soon

macOS desktop

Same MAUI vault UI, targeting Mac Catalyst — builds and runs internally on Mac today. No signed .app/.dmg installer yet.

Coming soon

Android

Planned once the MAUI Android workload is wired up and the shared crypto core has an Android target — not yet in the client's build targets.

Coming soon

iOS

Already one of the client's build targets, alongside macOS and Windows — not yet confirmed building since the iOS workload isn't installed on our build machine.

Installing the extension manually

The zip above is the same Manifest V3 build we ship internally — it just isn't on the Chrome Web Store or Edge Add-ons yet, so Chrome and Edge need "developer mode" to load it directly.

  1. Download passstash-extension-chrome.zip and unzip it to a folder you'll keep around — the browser loads the extension from that folder each time, so don't delete it after installing.
  2. In Chrome or Edge, go to chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions) and turn on Developer mode (top-right toggle).
  3. Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped folder.
  4. Pin PassStash from the extensions toolbar icon so it's easy to reach.

Browsers occasionally disable manually loaded extensions on restart until you re-enable them from the extensions page — expected for unpacked/dev-mode installs, and it goes away once we ship through the stores.
